More good news: the Tube apparently had EDTA in it which keeps blood from coagulating.

More bad news: this means my lab mate can't use it for his control.

Sort of good news: I can pull the DNA out of the blood and serve as my own negative control. Hello Dr. Frankenstein!!!!
